SINOPSIS
Acompaña a Motero Tranquilo & Vanebon en esta experiencia doméstica que te atrapa en todo lo sucio, puerco y absurdo que las hace humanas. Motero x Vanebon es un cortometraje experimental que busca transgredir experiencias domésticas y rituales cotidianos. Creando una pieza audiovisual quizás incómoda, quizás retante pero con una reflexión necesaria.SYNOPSIS
Motero Tranquilo and Vanebon invite you to accompany them on a journey into their every-day world, their domestic experience, trapping you within the trash, filth and absurdity that makes them human. Motero x Vanebon is a short experimental film that gathers domestic experiences and quotidian rituals. Creating an audiovisual piece that is perhaps uncomfortable, perhaps challenging, but results in a necessary
reflection.

PERSONAJES PRINCIPALES // KEY CHARACTERS
Parte del trabajo de ambas artistas ha sido crear y masterizar sus alter egos: Vanebon & Motero Tranquilo. A través de estos buscan interrumpir y cuestionar a qué experiencias se someten como mujeres, qué significa ser entes sexualizados y cómo pueden dominar y apropiarse de esto. Ninguna de las dos busca destruir un arquetipo de “mujer”. Pero si jugarlo, burlarse y asumirlo de una forma que les guste y corresponda.
A part of both of their work has been to create and develop their alter egos: Vanebon & Motero Tranquilo. A part of both of their work has been to create and develop their alter egos: Vanebon & Motero Tranquilo. Through them, they seek to question the experiences that they submit to as women, and the meaning of existing as sexualized beings. And then explore how they can claim and dominate this for their own purposes. Neither of them wishes to destroy the archetype of “woman.” But they do want to play with it, make fun of it, and take it on in a way that they enjoy and makes sense to them.
MOTERO TRANQUILO
Indecente, vulgar y encabroná. Le encanta comer basura y el sudor es su perfume favorito. No le gusta hacer caso y su motor son los pequeños detalles de la vida: los pelos, los eructos y la cerilla. Para Motero la energía y la tensión sexual son elementos vitales para ella existir y hacer aquello que más le gusta. Aunque no parezca, a Motero le fascina la vida doméstica, o más bien, su vida doméstica.Indecent, vulgar and pissed off, she loves everything filthy and trashy. She loves eating garbage, and sweat is her favorite perfume. She doesn’t like to do what she’s told, and what drives her are the little details of life: nipple hairs, burps and earwax. For Motero, sexual energy and tension are essential for her to exist and do what she loves the most. Although it might not look like it, Motero is fascinated by domestic life, or better yet, by her own domestic life.
VANEBON
Carita de ángel, curvas de señora, actitud de centauro. Antes de escupirte, le gusta ponerse lipstick. Minuciosa. Intencionada es su elección de tacones para pisarte la cara. Vanebon es impaciente y obsesiva. Sabe que este mundo no está hecho para chicas como ella pero no le importa, con su glamour destruye todo aquello que no le sirve.Face of an angel, curves of a woman, the attitude of a centaur. Before spitting on you, she likes to put on lipstick. Meticulous. She’s quite fussy when choosing the appropriate heels to step on your face. Vanebon is impatient and obsessive. She knows that this world wasn’t made for girls like her, but she doesn’t care. With her glamour she destroys all that doesn’t serve her.

In order to fulfill this dream and paint a picture that encompasses all that Motero Tranquilo and Vanebon incarnate, they will be collaborating with a group of local artists whose visions coexist in harmony with those of this universe.

Motero X Vanebon es una pieza donde buscamos llevar el glamour, lo repugnante, y lo enfáticamente absurdo, a límites estrepitosos. Y por supuesto, hemos planeado que sea retratado como tal. Una narrativa puede ser descrita a través de tantas maneras… Permítenos ilustrarte con algunas:
Motero X Vanebon is a piece where we seek for all levels of glamour, disgust, and the utterly absurd to be pushed to calamitous limits. And of course, it is most certainly planned to be illustrated as such. A narrative can be fathomed in so many ways… allow us to advise you on a couple of ways how:
1. ESCENOGRAFIA - Nuestro Departamento de Arte (Inés) está diseñando los más sensacionales escenarios, con props escandalosos, escogidos específicamente para auxiliarnos con todas nuestras extrañas y placenteras dinámicas.
1. SCENOGRAPHY - Our Art Department is designing the most wonderful sets, with many scandalous props, specifically chosen to aid us with all of our strange and pleasurable dynamics.
2. BELLEZA Y VESTUARIO - Naturalmente, nuestros personajes deben estar debidamente ataviados para habitar los sets de Inés, así que, bajo el refinadísimo ojo de la stylist Paulina, Vanebon diseñará excéntricos vestuarios para cada escena y Robbie hará lo suyo con todo lo referente a la belleza. Para esto, necesitaremos conseguir algunos pares de pelucas, kits de maquillaje, objetos auxiliares de estilismo, y muchísimas vulgares, centelleantes y atroces telas.
2. BEAUTY & COSTUMES - Naturally, our characters must be properly attired to inhabit Ines’s sets, so it is with the polished eye of stylist Paulina, that Vanebon will design eccentric costumes for each scene, and Robbie will do his thing with all things beauty. We shall need to source a couple different wigs, makeup kits, styling props, and many vulgar, dazzling, and atrocious fabrics.
3. LA LENTE Y LUZ ADECUADOS - Nos gustaría que vieras todo en la mejor luz, con la mejor calidad, y en la más alta de las resoluciones. Nos gustaría que vieras todo lo que hemos estado planeando, especialmente para ti, ¡a través del mejor equipo de cámara e iluminación!
3. PROPER LENS & LIGHT - We’d like you to see everything in the best possible lighting, with the best quality, in the highest resolution. We’d like you to see everything we’ve been planning, especially for you, through the very best cameras and light equipment!

SOBRE LAS CREADORAS // ABOUT THE CREATORS
Vanessa Bon “Vanebon” / vanebon.comCreadora mexicana, con formación de moda en Central Saint Martins y la Universidad de Westminster en Londres. Después de haber trabajado para SHOWSTUDIO Machine-A, y completado internships en marcas como Thom Browne, Mary Katrantzou y Kiko Kostadinov, presentó su colección debut en London Fashion Week en el 2020. Su práctica se desenvuelve en el diseño de moda, el cine y las artes plásticas, caracterizándose por investigar el arquetipo de la heroína de ciencia ficción. A su vez, retoma diversos elementos de lo retro y lo futurista, lo industrial y lo lujoso, creando una fusión de glamour-sport que reinventa el guardarropa de los futuros posibles. Ha diseñado y creado piezas únicas para BJÖRK, y otros artistas con como Ava Max, Rina Swayama y Rosalía.
Mexican creator, with an education in fashion from Central Saint Martins and the University of Westminster in London. After working for SHOWSTUDIO Machine-A, and completing internships with fashion brands, Thom Browne, Mary Katrantzou and Kiko Kostadinov, she presented her debut collection as part of London Fashion Week in 2020. Her practice spans across fashion design, film, and characterized by an investigation of the science-fiction heroine. At the same time, she reimagines diverse elements of the retro and futuristic, industrial and lavish, creating a fusion of glamour-sport to reinvent the wardrobe of possible futures . She has designed and created unique pieces for BJÖRK, as well as working with artists such as Ava Max, Rina Swayama and Rosalía.
Andrea “Motero Tranquilo” Narváez / moterotranquilo.comArtista audiovisual y directora independiente de Bayamón, Puerto Rico. A través del encuentro de la realidad y la ficción: Andrea enfoca su trabajo en reflexionar sobre el concepto de la adicción como un intento de entender la condición humana e investigar áreas límites del placer y el desagrado. Sus proyectos más recientes incluyen cortometrajes, video arte, psicoanálisis, poéticas personales y fotografía informal. Los videos de Andrea han formado parte de distintas programaciones como La bienal de fotografía de Tenerife “Fotonoviembre” y la muestra de videos online “Amanecer de acuario” por Red Bull Arts. Andrea es co-directora y fundadora de “Albania Galería” en Puerto Rico y forma parte del project space “Hooogar” en Guadalajara.
Audiovisual artist and independent director from Bayamón, Puerto Rico. At a place where reality and fiction meet, Andrea’s work is a reflection on the concept of addiction in an attempt to understand the human condition, and explore the limits of pleasure and disgust. Her most recent projects include short film, video art, psychoanalysis, personal poetics and informal photography. Andrea’s videos have been included in various programming such as the photography biennial of Tenerife “Fotonoviembre,” and the online video showcase, “Amanecer de acuario” by Red Bull Arts. Andrea is a founding co-director of “Albania Galería” in Puerto Rico and forms part of “Hooogar,” a project space in Guadalajara, Mexico.
